“Just For Fun League”This
summer we will be kicking off the club's inaugural season of the Just For
Fun (JFF) league.
Thirty-three dogs and their handlers have signed up to participate.
Debbie Zahler and Diane Tosh will be coordinating the 8-week season full
of challenging courses, fun and games (prizes too!). JFF
league will be held 2 nights each week of the schedule.
The nights are Thursdays and Sundays beginning at 7 pm (course
building will begin at 6:30), so we request that if you are there those
evenings please be prepared to leave the field by 6:30 pm. The length of time will vary, but an approximate ending time would be 9 pm each night. Since JFF will be held on the club field, we wanted to advise you of the times and dates. This is important because the field will be unavailable for regular use during JFF league play. Anyone is, of course, welcome to come watch and cheer on the others. Once league play is completed each night, the field will be available for anyone to run the course.
If
you use the field between Thursday and Sunday on a JFF week, please try to
make minimal course changes, particularly where contact obstacles are
concerned, so that course re-building can be kept to a minimum on Sundays.
However, do not hesitate to move equipment if you feel you
need to do so to meet your training needs. Check back here in September to see who won the JFF prizes!
